A 1993 graduate of Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine, Elif Gürkan completed her specialty training at Uludağ University in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and at Ankara Center of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Having participated in academic studies and certificate programs at numerous institutions such as the New York Long Island College Hospital, Paris Hotel Dieu University, Paris University and Cleveland Clinic Center for Spine Health; she conducted extensive research in manual medicine, ultrasound and computed tomography-guided injections, neurological rehabilitation, hyperhidrosis treatment, acupuncture, mesotherapy and radiofrequency. After working as an attending physician at the İstanbul German Hospital for nine years, she founded the Spine Center of Kadıköy Şifa Ataşehir Hospital in cooperation with the Korea-based Wooridul Spine Hospital. Thanks to her vast medical experience abroad, she serves our international patients in three foreign languages.
